“Don’t forget your story”

Don't forget your story

Don't forget your story

Psalm 124

If the Lord had not been on our side — let Israel say — if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us, they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us; the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away. Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

- Remember where you came from. The heights you'll reach will be b/c of God. Once you get there, allow God to use you to help those that are still in need.

- Everyone has a story, and it's not always pleasant. Pass your story down to your children so they can be empowered with the truth about how God brought you through.

- Our story tells how God is our help & how He kept us. He intercepted what was designed for evil. We would have been shattered, defeated & overwhelmed, but God...

- Some things in 2018 were meant to take you out physically & mentally. But there is a story behind every defeat & every victory. God's interceptions keep us from being totally overwhelmed.

- The things that knocked you down didn't knock you out. When you were being counted out, you kept bouncing back. When others thought you were out for good, you kept getting back up. God is building your story!

- You shouldn't be here. You shouldn't have survived. You should have cracked under the pressure, stress & strain. You had some close calls and brushes with uncertainty, BUT YOU'RE STILL HERE. You are a survivor!

- There are some traps that have been set for you. But just before you took the bait, God stepped in and rescued you. The bait doesn't go away just b/c you don't take it. Remember, He removed YOU, not the bait.

- If it looks bad, remember, God is not done with your story. He helps those who can't help themselves. Simply cry out to Him for help, and He will not fail to answer.
